Come and join us for this playful 4 hour seminal play therapy training as we use both non-directive and directive play therapy techniques, use lectures to identify core concepts of primary seminal play therapy theories and apply to our play therapy practices. We will discuss and demonstrate seminal play therapy theories as well as discuss playful activities to engage with each other to prepare for use in the application of play therapy practices. Participants will discuss different tools used in play therapy to expand or strengthen their knowledge of each seminal play therapy theory used in play as well as techniques. Key Aspects of this limited availability training is that you will have playrooms for Role Play in training

This 3-hour training explores developmentally appropriate approaches to assessing safety concerns and creating effective safety plans with children and families within the play therapy process. Participants will learn how to integrate play-based assessment techniques, identify risk and protective factors, engage caregivers in collaborative planning, and utilize therapeutic play interventions to support emotional regulation, communication, and safety. Ethical considerations, documentation practices, and practical strategies for working with children experiencing suicidal ideation, self-harm behaviors, aggression, or other safety concerns will be discussed.
